DICKSON PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Sub-contracting Machine Shop Specialists

Eine Welle wird auf einer CNC-Drehmaschine hergestellt. Das Teil wird von einer mitlaufenden Spitze gestützt. Das CNC-Drehteil ist in einem Dreibackenfutter gespannt. A shaft is made on a CNC lathe. The part is supported by a live center. The CNC turned part is clamped in a three-jaw chuck.

Dickson Product Development, Inc. Was founded in 1970 with the intent of offering prototype and production services on a sub-contracting basis. Since that time we've operated as a facility for both services, turning out numerous one-of-a-kind models and acting as a production arm with runs from a hundred to several thousand. We've also performed complete sheet metal work and become a fabricator/assembler of machine parts. Over the years we've successfully helped more than 100 different companies throughout lower New England.

Machining Capability

Featuring a complete machine shop, including CNC turning and machining centers and associated machining operations, Dickson can meet the most critical tolerances and has a great deal experience in the precise machining of metals, plastic and ceramic components. Sheet metal shearing, bending and punching can be accomplished, as can the welding and assembly of metal parts.

Location

Dickson Product Development is headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut and is conveniently located between the Merritt Parkway (exit 39S – Route 7) and I-95 (Exit 15 to “super 7″). The plant is situated in a modern 6,000 square foot building with 12 foot ceilings and an easily accessible loading dock. In addition to the machine tool areas, other portions of the plant house a stock room, shipping and receiving department, engineering and design offices, a well equipped and staffed inspection unit and an assembly area for use when the customer’s components require that service.
